Everyone Has Problems
This is another important idea conveyed in the film. The idea is based on the fact that every single person, regardless of race, gender, wealth and social status has some sort of problem. We assume Bender & Allison are the only ones with problems, since he comes from the rough background, lower-class and he gets himself in trouble a lot. As for Allison appearance leads us to think she is troubled and depressed. However, the nerds, sport's and even the rich wealthy princess face problems.
When we first see Claire and Andrew, we think everything must be perfect for them, they are so popular, life must be a breeze. The audience come to assume that they must have the "Perfect Life", heaps of friends, money, a loving family. No one would expect they have problems. But as we find out in the movie, everyone has problems, even the popular kids. Andrew finds it difficult to keep up with his fathers expectations while Claire struggles with peer pressure. The gist the movie is trying to convey is that no matter how rich, famous you are everyone has problems, its just whether you hide or share them.
